Success Strategy for a Leading Luxury Goods Manufacturer

Challenge
The company is to be optimally positioned in view of the national and international trends in the luxury goods market and the fierce international competition. The requirements of family ownership must be taken into account and a strategy developed and implemented to ensure the long-term success of the company.

Implementation
A consulting project with three main work steps, which were carried out in joint workshops. Workshop 1: Creation of the factual basis. Workshop 2: Creation and discussion of options. Workshop 3: Consideration and decision on options and development of the corresponding action plan.

Result
The client was able to decide on a clear success strategy for the next five years, including implementation measures. Due to its modular structure, the strategy enabled the different interests of the various owner groups to be taken into account. The strategy was ambitious, but feasible because it realistically took into account not only the market, customers and competition, but also the strengths and potential of the client organisation, and was implemented successfully. The long-term, profitable further development of the traditional family business, in a dynamic industry, has been successful.

To this end, the medium-term, integrated corporate strategy, with ambitious goals, new impulses and an implementation plan, is to be further developed with the involvement of key managers in AT and in coordination with the region.

It is important that not only an integrated AT growth strategy and implementation plan is created across all business areas and divisions, but also that the key managers of AT, in coordination with the region, work out how the resources and expertise of the entire Group can be optimally integrated and used for the success of AT.

All participants work on a coordinated format for their divisional strategy, which is continuously developed, documented and implemented in the course of the project.

In parallel, bilateral & multilateral, cross-functional coordination in AT and coordination in the matrix upwards (region, headquarters).
  3. Preparation of a summary presentation of the results, coordination with all stakeholders and communication and final coordination in the matrix upwards and within the Group.
  4. Parallel to 2. and 3., the ongoing implementation of measures and initiatives was already taking place.
